David_Hearn

David Hearn - BA Hons(Oxon)

Chairman

David has a long career as CEO and Chairman of a number of international product and services companies.

He was born and educated in the UK and graduated from Oxford University with a first class honours degree in English.

David's career includes roles in London, Barcelona, New York and Sydney including CEO of Goodman Fielder in Australia, which he ran for seven years until 2001. He transformed the business from an unfocused broad based international food group, into a focused, branded retail business, concentrating on the Australasian region.

On leaving Goodman Fielder David moved to New York, firstly as Chairman and CEO of Bates Advertising and then as the Group CEO of the Cordiant Group, which at the time was the fifth largest global media and marketing services group in the world. Having initiated the eventual sale of the company to WPP, David stayed on with the group to facilitate the integration process and thereafter moved his family back to the UK.

David will join WDScott in January 2008 and brings with him an interest in helping lead and grow the firm to its potential as a leading international services and consulting company.

Dr_Stephen_Moss

Stephen has over 20 years professional experience as a CEO and Managing Partner of professional services and consulting firms including Coopers and Lybrand, Price Waterhouse (now PWC), Aptech Australia, Gemini Consulting, IBM and Cardno Acil. He is a professional mediator and change management consultant with a background in law, psychology and business. Stephen’s other directorships include Chairman of Central Innovations Ltd., an ANZ Capital investee company and he is a founding director of Pathways Foundation, a harm prevention charity promoting contemporary rites of passage for boys and young men.

As Group Managing Director Stephen leads the international management team of WDScott as well as driving the firm’s corporate and capital markets direction, financial strategy and the M&A work of the firm.

Steve qualified as a chartered accountant in 1986 and then joined Charterhouse Securities, an institutional stockbroker, as a building and construction analyst in 1986, later becoming a Managing Director and Head of Research. In the Reuters survey for UK smaller companies he was voted the number one construction analyst in 2000 and 2001 before leaving to set up his own consultancy business in early 2003. He has worked on IPO’s, rights issues, placings, disposals and acquisitions.

Board Member

Bob has over 25 years consulting experience. He was CEO of the South Australian Centre for Manufacturing and leader of the National Technology Transfer Group responsible for evaluating and adapting Japanese, European and US manufacturing approaches and technology for Australian industry.

Bob is now involved in leading the ongoing development of the firm’s managing and developing domestic and international consulting assignments in delivering operational improvement programs to using process modelling methods and integrating manufacturing logics.

Bob specializes in and program development, process modelling and analysis, operational improvement, performance laboratory methods, continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods.

Reece_Adnams

Reece has over 15 years in corporate strategy and performance improvement experience, both as an executive within global corporations and as a consultant and consulting firm partner.

Most recently Reece lead the IBM Business Strategy practice in Australia and New Zealand. During this time Reece was engaged by IBM in the US as a thought leader on the operational impacts and opportunities of globalisation and global integration on corporations. Reece also lead corporate strategy engagements for clients, business architecture assessments, mergers and acquisition plans.

Reece was engaged by BHP Billiton's global mining businesses to develop KPIs and measurement systems to identify the effectiveness of corporate social responsibility investments. He also lead corporate strategy activities for John Fairfax Holdings Limited including developing the group's corporate strategy and new business plans for the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.

Prior to returning to Australia Reece was based in London and responsible for Royal Dutch Shell's global consumer Internet presence in 43 countries where he oversaw the creation of a new internet/mobile phone business in 11 countries across Asia/Pacific and Latin America. During a previous stint with IBM, Reece worked as a corporate strategy consultant at IBM corporate headquarters in Armonk for a project personally sponsored by the IBM Chairman and worked on strategy consulting assignments for IBM customers in the FMCG media/telecommunications and government sectors.

Anna_Whitlam

Anna was the founding director of Market U which was merged with WDScott in January 2008. Her focus is on the senior search practice, business development and the expansion of Market U and the WDScott People business in Australia and internationally.

Anna has 15 years'combined experience in senior marketing and communication roles across the FMCG, retail and government sectors, together with sound experience in executive recruitment and search. She is an active member of a number of corporate affairs, communication and marketing associations, and is passionate about maintaining high-quality standards in the search and selection process of senior professionals in these industries.

A motivated, focused business woman, Anna was recognised by the BRW magazine in 2006 as one of Australia's top female entrepreneurs. In 2007 she was named as a finalist in two categories of the 2007 Telstra Business Women's Awards - Victorian Yellow Business Owner Award and Victorian Young Business Women's Award.

Anna has a Bachelor of Business with a major in Marketing and is currently studying her Masters in Management.

Glenn Crannage has 30 years of professional experience in the law and justice sectors spanning some30 different developed and developing countries. Glenn has extensive experience in the assessment of needs for police, justice and security agencies; technical appraisal of law and justice sector performance; design of projects to reform and build the capacity of law and justice agencies; and in the implementation and appraisal of justice sector institutional strengthening projects. He is a strategic go to point for law and justice sector clients globally. As Chief Executive Officer, Glenn leads Global Justice Solutions current business across Asia, the Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa together with its expansion into other geographies.

John_Paul

John Paul - BComm, MComm, CMC, MAICD

John has over 20 years consulting and senior executive experience, including partnership at Coopers and Lybrand (PWC) and CEO of a leading national building supplies public company. He has worked extensively throughout the Asia Pacific rim undertaking assignments which have involved Corporate and Business Strategy, Market Investigations and Strategic Marketing, Performance Improvement and Business Transformation. He has been responsible for WDScott in Australia for the past three years - a period of rapid growth in revenues and brand awareness.

John’s areas of professional interest include the linkages between corporate vision, values and strategy and the implementation of these directional elements at all levels of the organisation to help realise client’s performance improvement goals. He has a particular interest in customer centric approaches to organic growth and realising competitive advantage through sales effectiveness programs aligned with enhanced customer experiences through a variety of distribution channels and media.

David is a management consultant and project manager who understands technology. With Masters' degrees in technology and business administration, and international training in England, Belgium and the US, David applies his skills, qualifications and experience to engage business involvement in technology initiatives.

David's consulting experience covers a range of business and technology assignments and although he has strong technical skills, his real focus is the application and leverage of technology to achieve business outcomes. David is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, and a Certified Management Consultant.

David was an Executive Director and the head of the Consulting Practice at Clear Lead Pty Ltd prior to the merger with WDScott, and has held senior consulting and project management positions with several organisations, including IBM. David has also been Project Director for major technology and telecommunications implementations, including Australia's largest IP Telephony rollout. David is also sought as a facilitator for executive workshops and the development of corporate strategy.

Dave's experience has provided him with the background to establish and build an innovative consulting practice that delivers real value through clearly understanding the client's needs. Dave has an impressive track record in a wide variety of consulting assignments in banking, finance and insurance. His assignments have covered IT group management, aligning business and IT strategies, improving project management and systems development practices, leading development initiatives, program and project management and the effective use of technology to enable organisational change.

Dave has gained his experience through assignments in Brussels, London, Athens and Sydney. He has extensive experience in delivering complex projects and enlisting IT and business support to achieve rapid delivery.

Dave was an Executive Director and the head of the Project Services Practice at Clear Lead Pty Ltd prior to the merger with WDScott.
