TECHNIQUES

Managing change is difficult, complex and ongoing. WDScott have developed and refined a series of techniques to help our clients introduce, implement and manage the change process.

Program Office

  • The approach and the use of a Program Office ensures changes are introduced so as to create value as rapidly as possible but at low cost and with a high level of certainty. It ensures that all business changes are:
  • Strategically aligned
  • Coordinated ‘centrally’
  • Well communicated in a timely (in advance), meaningful and consistent manner
  • Ongoing and predictable, and
  • Explicitly linked: Strategy - Sponsor - Initiative - Change - User/Customer Impact
  • Free of unintended overlaps and underlaps

  • The Program Office also ensures Change Opportunities are:
  • Assessed and designed across all dimensions of change, i.e. Strategy, Product/Channel, Process, Information, Structure, Skill, Technology
  • Subjected to a consistent Analysis and Design, Implementation, and “Embedding” Methodology
  • Presented to the business in a meaningful and concise manner, and
  • Include consideration of opportunities/issues identified by TQM and Business unit teams
